With over 30% of our students identifying as Aboriginal, we have a rich Indigenous vein running through our school. We have embraced this with our Cultural Literacy program. Students in Year 3 learn the local Indigenous language, Wangkatja. All students are exposed to the rich history of our area, thanks to our wonderful Aboriginal and Islander Education Officers. Classes are taught about local plant and animal life, and an excursion to Karlkurla Park is a highlight.

We also have a group of boys who comprise the ‘Deadly Dancers’.This group has traveled to other schools and community events and the reception has been fantastic. If you would like them to perform at your school, please contact the Principal.
