Humanities and Social Sciences (HaSS) is taught from Pre Primary until Year 6. In the WA curriculum, the HaSS learning area consists of 4 subjects:
- Civics & Citizenship (Yr 3-6)
- Economics & Business (Yr 5-6)
- Geography (PP – Yr 6)
- History (PP – Yr 6)
Studying HaSS provides students with both the knowledge and skills needed to develop a broad understanding of the world around them as well as how people can participate as active and informed citizens.
There is a strong focus on developing HaSS skills in our students. These skills enable students to question the world around them, think critically, draw conclusions based on evidence, propose actions and communicate their findings effectively to others.
